Drivers' Visual Attention a in Real and Simulated Environment

The study involves comparing drivers' visual attention at junctions in a simulated environment and on real roads. Drivers' will have to participate in two sessions (on different days). One will be in the University of Nottingham's driving simulator, and the other will be driving a real on-road car around a route in Nottingham. Drivers' eye movements will be tracked continuously throughout both the drivers using lightweight glasses.


  • A student or member of staff at the University of Nottingham
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Glasses cannot be worn (contact lenses are acceptance)
