Effect of Yakult ingestion on diet-induced insulin resistance in humans
23 August 2017
Excessive consumption of high-fat foods has made obesity and type 2 diabetes a worldwide epidemic. We believe that changes in gut/digestive system health may be involved in the development of such metabolic complications. Accordingly, dietary strategies that maintain or enhance digestive system health may prove useful in the fight against obesity and type 2 diabetes.
We are conducting a study investigating whether Yakult (a probiotic drink) can prevent diet-induced insulin resistance in humans.
