Mindfulness for Physical Activity Research Project

The main aim of this research project is to develop a programme to increase physical activity uptake and maintenance in underactive participants. In the longer term, the programme developed in this study will be tested in the general population and may be used to inform policy related to physical activity behaviour change.


  • Are male or female
  • Are 19-64 years old
  • Would like to do more physical activity, but find it boring, uncomfortable, or not enjoyable
  • Available and willing to attend all sessions and complete all research measures

About the researcher

My name is Kat and I am doing a PhD in mindfulness and movement at Liverpool John Moores University. I am also a mindfulness and meditation practitioner and the host of the blog Maybe Mindful.
