Discovering Gender Differences In Virtual Eyewitness Testimony Scenarios

29 September 2014

The purpose of this study is to understand the difference between how well men and women can recognise faces.

If you agree to participate you will be presented with trials that work like a virtual police line-up.

Each trial consists of six faces: they will appear on the screen one at a time for one second, there will then be a short interval and a final face will appear.

You have to answer YES or NO as to whether the final face was in the original line up. (The answers will be recorded and stored safely.) The faces might have a different expression than in the original line up, or might be facing a different way.
