Names and identity - importance for trans and genderfluid individuals

This study aims to explore if common strategies can be identified for choosing a name that conforms more closely with their actual identity and performing that identity. Is some connection to the old identity retained through initials or traditional family names, etc?
Can recurring stumbling blocks in the process be identified which may point to organisations who require improvement.
It also aims to highlight the link between the correct name/pronoun and mental wellbeing.
