From body to mind, healthy males needed for PET scans (£350)
22 September 2018
We are interested in understanding how the “immune system”, that is, the system dedicated to fight infections in our body, may be involved in developing depression. To do this we would like to understand if when we have inflammation in the body, we have also inflammation in the brain.
We are looking for healthy volunteers to be able to come to see us either at the Institute of Psychiatry in King’s College London (Denmark Hill) and at Hammersmith Hospital on a total of 4 occasions.

About the researcher
I am a Psychiatrist and I am doing my PhD at the Stress Psychiatry and Immunology lab of King's College London. I am interested in studying the interplay between body and mind in the development of psychiatric disorders. In particular, my team is investigating the role of the immune system and inflammation in depression.
