Representations and Perceptions of People with Facial Disfigurement: Part 2

03 April 2018

This study looks into how people perceive individuals who have a facial disfigurement. Instantaneous judgments are made about a person when we look at a face for the first time, especially faces spanning the full range of human appearance. Responses and perceptions to static images of individuals with facial disfigurement will be compared to data from the first part of this study comparing different types of rich media content and message tone.
