An exploration into social trait judgements in 2D faces

16 August 2018

We make numerous snap judgements about faces every day. One type of judgement we make is social/personality trait judgements, such as, perceived trustworthiness/approachability. In this study, you will be asked to rate faces on one of three social trait judgements. You will be randomly assigned to rate either trustworthiness, dominance, or attractiveness in 2D male and female facial photographs and in short videos.
