Exploring the Lived Experiences of Disabled Women with the Justice System
07 November 2015
This research study is about the lived experiences of disabled women who, as survivors of domestic violence, have sought help from the justice system – that is, the police, the crown prosecution service and/or the court system – in England and the United States. I am especially interested in what adjustments or modifications were made by this system to accommodate the participant(s) and her disability (e.g. changes to standard policy, removing barriers, providing auxiliary aids) – if any.
