Web-based Cognitive Assessment for Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Up to 70% of people with MS experience a change in cognition. Traditional paper-based tests are expensive and require the expertise of a cognition specialist. Reliance on in-person assessment creates barriers for individuals who are limited in physical mobility, access to transportation, and/or geographical proximity. This research study will determine if a web-based cognitive assessment is effective for assessing cognition in individuals with MS.

About the researcher
Meghan Beier, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As a rehabilitation psychologist, she specializes in cognitive rehabilitation and neuropsychological assessment and intervention. She works with patients with a variety of neurological and psychological conditions, including multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury.
