Stakeholder Perceptions of Aquaculture

This is a pilot study being conducted by the Asian Institute of Technology and the University of York that aims to examine perceptions of aquaculture in both the UK and Thailand. In order to do so, we are seeking British and Thai individuals to participate in this questionnaire. The objective of this research project is to understand what societal perceptions of aquaculture may be inhibiting or promoting its further development, governance, and practice in certain countries.

This study was approved by the University of York Environment department ethics committee on July 1st, 2016.

About the researcher

I am an MSc student at the University of York studying Marine Environmental Management. My interests include environmental governance and policy, social development, aquaculture, and ecological restoration. My goal is to perform research and implement environmental initiatives that promote adaptive community management, environmental health, and create opportunities for individuals to appreciate and benefit from healthy natural environments.
