The purpose of this study is to seek an understanding as to why people purchase eSports team licensed merchandise. Looking specifically at how you identify with teams and players and whether it impacts your consumer decisions in the eSports industry.

About the researcher

I'm an undergraduate university student at Bournemouth University studying Sports Management. I have a passion for the gaming industry and sporting industry, I love to play sports (more specifically football!) and i also game competitively. I am also a co-founder of an esports organisation, i run this in my spare time, we have an ever growing community which is really exciting! I love looking at the management of organisations and how they can be more successful, the research i am conducting is seeking to understand whether organisations and players influence the way people purchase their merchandise which ties in perfectly with this passion.
