Alcohol use by nightlife patrons in the UK and Brazil: a comparative study

06 March 2017

Alcohol abuse has been recognised as a major public health issue. In many parts of Europe, including the United Kingdom, much of the burden of alcohol on health and crime is related to risky alcohol consumption among students, which usually occurs within nightlife environments. So, I am interested in students’ expectations and perceptions of drinking culture, especially about pre-drinking and its implications for the recreational nightlife context.
