Unexpected but fortunate encounters between strangers happen all the time in professional life. These are so called serendipitous encounters or chance encounters. Such moments might lead to successful collaboration, exchange of ideas, new business, inspiration, friendships, etc. Do you have your own story to tell? The survey is conducted as part of a research project on designing intelligent matchmaking systems to increase serendipity and innovation in knowledge work.
