Women’s Talk: A Comparison between Saudi Arabic and British English Friends

27 July 2017

Hello,
I am looking for female British native speakers, aged between 20 to 45, to participate in my study. Participants will be invited to a dinner and asked to bring two to three female friends with them. Their talk over the meal will be recorded. The dinner is expected to take around 2 hours. The dinner is planned to take place at any convenient time for you before the 26/08/2017. Besides having a free dinner with your friends, each participant will get a small compensation of 5 £.

About the researcher

I am interested in providing a thorough analysis of friends’ conversations in both British and Saudi cultures. It is hoped that this work will contribute to improving cross-cultural understanding and foreign language pedagogy. The findings will provide instructors and curriculum designers with empirically based knowledge on the needs of foreign language learners.
