Investigating Digestion of Macronutrients in Healthy and Obese Volunteers

The Section of Endocrinology and Investigative Medicine at the Hammersmith Hospital, London is studying the effect of meals of varying nutrient content on appetite.

We are looking for obese volunteers to take part in this study.

This study will involve a 4-day stay in our research facility, where you will complete a variety of questionnaires, have blood taken, and to monitor how people digest food, tubes will be inserted through the nose to allow sampling of gut contents.

About the researcher

Our names are Dr Georgia (Research Associate) and Hannah (PhD Student), and we work in the Department of Metabolism, Digestion & Reproduction at Imperial College London. We are interested in the reasons behind obesity progression, and how we might be able to combat this.
