School closures and the impact on rural community sustainability
20 August 2017
The purpose of the research is to gather information about the impact of school closures and the effect this may have on other local services and the residential decision making of households with and without school age children. Promoting the sustainability of rural communities is a current policy priority for local and national government and this research will contribute to debates about the relationships between local schools and wider rural community sustainability.
