Influence of walking on diabetes risk in South Asian vs white European men

The influence of prior walking on coronary heart disease risk markers in centrally obese South Asian and white European men. You will be required to visit the laboratories at the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine, Loughborough University, on six occasions. You will receive a comprehensive health check and report, including an MRI scan, ultrasound scans for blood vessel function, information on coronary heart disease risk markers and your fitness data.

This study has been approved by the Loughborough University sub-committee and will run from October 2018 to June 2019.

About the researcher

Mr Matthew John Roberts is a third year PhD student at Loughborough University and will be responsible for running the study. Matthew has 3 years of experience in researching the influence of physical activity and health in South Asian populations.
