Wellness drink and digestive health study

We are looking for Aberdeen-based participants to study how a wellness drink can improve your digestion and overall gut health.
This 10-week study, conducted at the Foresterhill health campus in Aberdeen will provide you with information about your gut health, metabolic health, and microbiome composition.

Requirements

  • Healthy men and women aged 18-68 years
  • Normal to overweight (BMI 18-35 kg/m²)
  • Non-smokers
  • Not currently following a vegan diet

Ethical approval

The study was conducted according to the guidelines in the Declaration of Helsinki and guidelines for Good Clinical Practice. The study protocol was approved by the research ethics committee of the Rowett Institute, University of Aberdeen. All study participants provided written informed consent. The study was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov in February 2019 (NCT03844152).

About the researcher

Nicola is a Ph.D. student at the Rowett Institute in Aberdeen with a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Reading and an MRes in Metabolic Science from the University of Cambridge.
