The effects of SSRIs on threat-of-shock potentiated neural circuitry (£50)

We are looking for participants with PERSISTENT ANXIETY to take part in our research study on the effects of antidepressants on emotional processing. The study will consist of two testing sessions involving behavioural tasks to be completed with and without fMRI scanning. Some tasks will involve harmless, infrequent electrical shocks. Between the two sessions, a 2-3 week course of escitalopram or placebo will be administered.
