I am inviting adults currently experiencing obsessions and compulsions or who have had an experience of obsessions and compulsions to take part in a research project that explores their experience.
This project aims to understand your what your experience of obsessions and compulsions is like in the context of your interpersonal relationships. The research study will involve a face to face or Skype interview lasting from 1 to 1.5 hours based in central London.


  • •Over 18
  • •Any gender
  • •Currently experiencing obsessions and compulsions of every nature and form. There is also no restriction on how long you may have been experiencing them. All are welcome, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
  • •Feel you have enough emotional robustness to explore your experiences in detail.
  • •Have an interest in reflecting on your own experience of obsessions and compulsions.
  • •Not recievng NHS therapy

Ethical approval

This study has been approved by and has recieved a favourable ethical opinion from the Faculty of Health and Medical sciences ethics committee at the University of Surrey on 21st June 2018.

About the researcher

Orinayo Onabanjo, a trainee counselling psychologist at the University of Surrey undertaking my doctoral thesis in counselling psychology.
