Data Collection Study on Parental Shared Book Reading
28 October 2019
As part of my master's thesis, I am conducting a cross-cultural comparative study on Japanese and American parents reading picture books to their children. In connection with this study, I would like to ask your help in providing a video recording of you reading to your child(ren) (no faces need to be shown) . The conversation data collected for this study will be used to find interesting phenomena in shared picture book readings routinely performed in Japanese and American homes.
Requirements
- Native speaker of American English
- Has child(ren) between ages 0-6
