The Adelaide Study
06 August 2021
We are investigating the speed that a glucose drink empties from the stomach in healthy individuals who have Black African or Caribbean heritage. We are also looking at blood glucose levels and the hormones released (that are related to appetite and digestion) and how these may determine how long it takes the stomach to empty. The study involves blood tests and breath samples before and after drinking a glucose drink.
