Living with a sibling diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This study will explore the experiences and coping mechanisms of individuals living with a sibling diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout adolescence. It will consist of semi-structured interviews conducted over Skype, approximately 30 minutes long. The interviews will explore the experiences of the siblings at the time of diagnosis, adolescence and the start of young adulthood.

This study has been approved by the Middlesex University Department of Psychology Application for Ethical Approval on March 10th 2016.

About the researcher

I am an undergraduate Psychology student at Middlesex University undertaking my dissertation looking at the experiences of living with a sibling diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
