What do students really want and think?

31 July 2017

A couple of weeks ago on the Jisc blog, Sarah Knight published a fascinating synopsis of research that Jisc has carried out into students’ digital experience with views from 22,593 learners across the UK. This helps universities make better decisions and provide better services.

Development of the digital environment is one of the big ticket items on your college or university’s budget sheet, so you need to know how effective that investment is. ... Our student digital experience tracker uncovers students’ experience of digital and captures their thoughts in their own words. Our report from the 2017 tracker study offers insights that participating organisations are using to inform their future investment.

The tracker gives faschinating insights into the experience of studying in a UK euniversity, for example that "65.5% of HE students use institutional desktop computers and 62.9% use institutional printers".

You can download the full report and read this great article on the Jisc blog.
