Can the Computer Recognise a Child’s Face at Years Apart?

Your childhood photographs could make a real contribution to academic research against child exploitation.

1.2Million children are trafficked every year, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the USA received a 432% increase in child sexual abuse images for purpose of identification between 2005 and 2009 (U.S. Department of Justice, 2010).

About the researcher

Jessica has a background in Forensic Anthropology BSc (Hons) and Forensic Facial Identification MSc both from the University of Dundee. She is now a part of the FaceLab research group as a PhD student working with the computing school in Liverpool John Moores University.
