Exploring Psychosis in Black British, Caribbean, and African Communities

25 August 2019

I am conducting research into how people of Black British, African, and Caribbean origin that have previously had experiences of psychosis understand and talk about their diagnosis, and how they have experienced hallucinations. Studies have found a high prevalence of psychosis in Black communities in the UK. I will be exploring the cultural context of experiences of psychosis and understandings of ethnicity in this community.
