The Narrative Empathy and Action Test (NEAT)
11 August 2025
I am conducting research into empathy – how we understand and respond to other people’s emotions. The aim is to develop a new empathy task that can assess people’s responses to realistic social scenarios, including how they recognise others' emotions, resonate with them emotionally, and decide whether or not to help. This research could contribute to better tools for assessing empathy in both research and clinical contexts.
