The Lockdown Library Project

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the general public making significant lifestyle changes. This project examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the public’s reading habits, exploring whether people have increased or reduced their reading, chosen particular books or genres to read since lockdown, revisited books from the past, and refined the ways in which they talk about their reading.

This study was approved by the Ethics Committee in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Aston University in May 2020.
