Mock Jury Perceptions of Defendants Credibility

13 January 2018

This study aims to develop an understanding of people’s perceptions of defendants in a mock juror simulation. You will be asked to read a story or ‘vignette’ about an individual who has committed a crime and is in court for the offence. You will be given key information about the suspect’s history, behaviour in court and some excerpts of dialogue to contextualise the crime. Once you have read the vignette, you will be given a series of questions to answer about your perceptions of credibility.
