Understanding the Experiences of Neurodivergent Students with GenAI

The purpose of this project is to explore how neurodivergent students use, perceive, and experience GenAI in higher education. Through a series of focus groups, this research aims to uncover both the benefits and challenges that GenAI presents for neurodivergent learners.
Requirements
- Be over 18 years old.
- Be currently enrolled in a university taught program.
- Have experience using at least one GenAI tool (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Co-Pilot) for academic purposes.
- Communicate fluently in English.
- If you are a neurodivergent student, you should self-identify as having at least one of the neurodevelopmental conditions commonly included under the neurodiversity umbrella, such as ADHD, ASC, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and/or Tourette syndrome. You do not need to provide proof of a formal diagnosis to take part.
- If you are a neurotypical student, you should not have received a formal diagnosis of any neurodevelopmental condition.
