Achieving a carbon neutral city

Many local authorities and councils have declared climate emergencies and set decarbonisation targets which are significantly quicker than the national target of net-zero by 2050. For example, Leeds City Council has set a target of the city being carbon neutral by 2030. This study is investigating the extent to which there may be technical barriers to this.


Ethical approval

The research has received ethical approval from the Engineering Research Ethics Committee of the University of Cambridge.

About the researcher

I'm studying for a Master's in Construction Engineering, to try and play an increasing role in shaping our industry and a more efficient, climate-friendly world.
