How Job Satisfaction relates to Perserverance and Goal-Setting

This study is to understand the role job satisfaction has on an individual's traits of long-term passion and perserverance, and how they see their goal orientation in the current workplace (learning, performance and/or avoidance). The survey includes Job Satisfaction Survey (Spector, 1994), Short Grit Scale (Duckworth, 2009) and Workplace Goal Orientation (van Dam, 2015) and other demographic questions.

Ethical approval

This study has been approved by Heriot-Watt University (School of Life Sciences) for an MSc Business Psychology dissertation project, researching student Clement Goh under supervision by Dr. Sue Cowan. Approval was granted on 17th July, 2015.
