How and Why do we seek reassurance?

11 August 2017

This study is part of our programme of psychological research conducted at the University of Bath by the Clinical Psychology Research team. We want to understand the different ways people seek reassurance and the effects it can have. The main reason we seek reassurance is to reduce our fears and remove doubt and generally feel more certain about things which concern us. We want to understand better the ways in which individual differences have implications for the way people deal with it.
