Welcome...
My name is Ebonnie Simmons-Hall and I am a Doctoral student at Walden University, pursuing a PhD in Psychology. I am very interested in the resilience of single parents. This study examines if the variables of age, gender, income, and perceived family social support individually or in combination predicts single parent resilience. I hope to use information from this study to help communities find ways to help single parents promote resilience.

About the researcher

My name is Ebonnie Simmons-Hall. I am a doctoral student at Walden University pursuing a PhD in Psychology. I am interested in studying single parents. As a researcher I embrace resilience and strength based constructs. This study will examine if the variables of age, gender, income, and perceived family social support individually or in combination predicts single parent resilience. Previous studies suggests that single parenting has a negative impact on the children they raise and is stressful and overwhelming for the single parent. However every single parent does not have a negative experience and I am curious to know why. I am confident that this study can provide communities with the data they need to create and sustain programs geared toward positively impacting single parents.
