Improving the effectiveness of facial composites

This study aims to improve the quality of facial composites composed by witnesses to crimes. Composites are pictures of faces constructed from a person’s memory, and are used by police to help solve crime.
The study involves looking at a series of facial composites of English footballers for you to or rate compared to a photograph. The study takes about 10 minutes to complete.

This study has been approved by the University of Central Lancashire Psychology department ethics committee on 21st February 2020.
