The MobQoL Project: Mobility and Quality of Life

The aim of this project is to find out how mobility (or being able to get around) affects quality of life. We have developed a questionnaire tool called MobQoL to measure how mobility affects quality of life, we now want to find out how accurate and reliable that tool is.

About the researcher
Dr Nathan Bray is a Lecturer in Healthcare Improvement at the School of Health Sciences, Bangor University. He has an MSc in Public Health and Health Promotion and a PhD in Health Economics. His research focuses on evaluating the costs and benefits of wheelchairs and other assistive mobility technology. In 2016 Nathan was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship by Health and Care Research Wales to carry this research project, with the aim to develop a new questionnaire tool to measure the quality of life of people who use wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Nathan is an Associate Editor for the British Journal of Dermatology, and has received research funding from NIHR HTA, Horizon 2020, HCRW and NHS England.
