Diverse postgraduate students experience of higher education

The aim of this study is to: Explore in-depth the lived experiences of non-traditional postgraduate students (i.e. Ethnically diverse and Ethnic minority, LGBTQI+, carers, mature and disabled students) within LJMU. Collate, compare, and critically review the current literature on the barriers faced by non-traditional postgraduate students within the UK and internationally. Co-develop evidence based and meaningful resources targeted specifically for non-traditional postgraduate students.

About the researcher
I am a second year post-graduate student (PhD) currently studying within the education department. My research focuses on diverse postgraduate students’ experiences of Higher Education. As a mature and first generation higher education student I am passionate about breaking down the barriers that non-traditional students face.
