Recognition and Intelligibility of familiar and unfamiliar voices
20 June 2024
This study examines cognitive processes involved in understanding speech amidst background noise in busy environments like cafes or restaurants. We aim to explore how individuals without known hearing difficulties learn new voices and how this learning affects speech perception. The study lasts about 3-3.5 hours, conducted in a single, in-person session at Chandler House, 2 Wakefield Street, London WC1N 1PF. Participants will be compensated in cash for their time.
