Exploring smokers’ views on giving up smoking

Looking for current smokers to be interviewed about their recent experiences in quitting smoking and perceptions of smoking cessation support and alternative nicotine products (e.g. electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products).


  • 18 years or older
  • Have tried to quit smoking in the last three months
  • Currently smokes at least 5 cigarettes a day
  • Does not use nicotine replacement or e-cigarettes every day

This study has been reviewed and given favourable opinion by King’s Psychiatry, Nursing and Midwifery Research Ethics Panel (LRS-17/18-5458).

About the researcher

I am a second year PhD student at King's College London interested in natural transitions between different means of using tobacco and nicotine.
