Ankle instability Exercise

This study will investigate the effect of Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation combine with running exercise on a treadmill compare with balance board exercise. I would like to invite participant who has a history of ankle sprain past 12 months and recurrent injury occurs more than 3 months before and feeling giving way, No pain, No leg fracture. The training will do for 30 minutes per day, 3 days per week for 6 weeks. Pre-test and Post-test will do before, after and following by 6 weeks.


  • Participants have a history of at least one significant ankle sprain over the past 12 months, and recurrent injury occurs more than three months before the study. All participants must have feeling giving way or self-reported ankle instability. People who had an acute injury to bone and muscle structures of other joints of the lower extremity in the last three months that effect on movement and function are excluded. All vulnerable (pregnancy, disabilities) are excluded.

This study has been approved by Loughborough University ethical committee on January 17th 2020.
