Reduced mind-wandering as a pre-marker of Alzheimers Disease
26 April 2024
I am a doctoral student from the University of Hertfordshire looking to recruit participants with a diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment. We want to understand age-related changes in mind-wandering, particularly in people with mild memory problems. This knowledge will help us improve how we care for people with memory problems. We can arrange to visit you at your home for a 90 minute session to explore thoughts that pop into your mind and complete pen/paper tasks to assess your memory skills.
Requirements
- aged 65-89
- have a diagnosis of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
- read and understand English well
- Do NOT have an active neurological / psychiatric disorder
- Based in London or surrounding areas

About the researcher
Hi, my name is Beela! I'm completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology within the University of Hertfordshire. This project is a part of my doctoral research. I became interested in improving dementia care whilst working in various memory clinics in London.
I am hoping that this research will contribute to improving the early identification and management of Alzheimer's Disease.
