Trial of a new online health programme

We have developed an online health programme aiming to help people understand more about their health and support them to make healthy changes that are achievable and sustainable. In this study we would like to test the programme with adults aged 35-74, who are carrying some excess weight and live in or near Bath. If this sounds like you and you would like to lose weight, be fitter or reduce your risk of developing diabetes and heart disease, this study could be for you...


  • Age 35-74
  • BMI 25-39.9
  • Able to travel to University of Bath campus for morning assessments
  • Not diagnosed with: coronary heart disease, chronic kidney disease, type 1 or type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart failure, severe hypertension (BP>180/110mmHg), peripheral arterial disease or hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
  • Not taking any medications can affect your weight
  • Not pregnant or currently going through the menopause
  • Able to change your physical activity (i.e. not prevented by disability)
  • Not currently involved in any other lifestyle programme (e.g. Weight Watchers) or similar research trial
