The role of muscle proteins in glucose uptake and insulin resistance

The purpose of this study is to investigate the involvement of key proteins implicated in the uptake of glucose from the blood into the muscle, under high levels of insulin and fats. This research will help to advance our understanding of the defects associated with insulin resistance, a pre-diabetic state.
