Adoptive Fathers Experiences of Caring for Their Child

The experience of parenting for adoptive fathers is unique and is currently under-researched. I would like to speak with adoptive fathers to understand their experiences. It is hoped that this research could improve the understanding and support that adoptive fathers and families receive in the future.

About the researcher
Matthew Clark is a doctoral student in the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology & Psychotherapy by Professional Studies (DCPsych) at Metanoia Institute, London. In addition to his research, he is also a therapist, primarily working with adoptive families in Yorkshire. It is this work that inspired him to explore the experiences of adoptive fathers.
