Experiences of cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety and/or depression

The purpose of the study is to explore the experiences of people who have completed a clinician led cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) intervention that was delivered in order to help with anxiety, depression, or both in the UK as adults.

The goal is to better understand the experiences of being a recipient of CBT, with the ultimate aim of contributing to research which will improve the experience of CBT.

This will involve taking part in an online interview lasting between one and two hours.

Requirements

  • Adults 18+
  • Received CBT for depression, anxiety, or both in the UK with a clinician (such as a CBT therapist, mental health counsellor, or psychologist) as an adult

The study was approved on 13/12/2021 by the University of South Wales Faculty of Life Sciences and Education Ethics Group.
