Time, Love, and Friendship: Predictors of Intensity of Parasocial Relations

This project will investigate the factors that affect the strength of relationships between figures in the media and those who engage with them. It will investigate the role that total time spent engaging with content plays in developing a connection, as well as romantic and friendship focussed relationships. The reason for this study is that the relationship between a viewer and a media figure can be used in many ways.

Requirements

  • Participants must be aged 18+
  • Must feel as though they have a social connection to a media figure
