Validation of Malay and Chinese Version of Irrational Beliefs Measure

The Irrational Performance Beliefs Inventory (iPBI) measures irrational thoughts in sports & performance settings, designed for a UK population. This study seeks to validate the Malay & Mandarin versions of the iPBI for use in Malaysia & Singapore. Successful validation has potential benefits for athletes of all levels in both countries. For concurrent validity, participants are also asked to complete the Shortened General Attitude & Belief Scale & the State-Trait Personality Inventory.

Requirements

  • Residing in Malaysia or Singapore.
  • Age 18 and above.
  • Familiarity with Malay or Mandarin.
