About the researcher

My name is Candice Sunney; I am an adult learning tutor, Coach and meditation teacher. I am in my final year of a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology, which is the science of what makes life worth living.

My Research Interest:

While I was pregnant with my son, I was disappointed with the antenatal education courses that were available to me. All that was available at the time was hypnobirthing, NCT and prenatal child care classes which only prepare you for childbirth, childcare and for the most part focus on what can go wrong. So I had to educate myself, there was nothing available to assist me in preparing for parenthood mentally. So, I turned to Mindfulness and my research in Positive Psychology, for which I am thankful.

With all this in mind, I planned my final year research project in the hope that I would be able to find and research an economic course that could be made available to everyone.
