The Needs and Experiences of Families living with Parental Mental Illness

Are you a parent living in Northern Ireland who has experienced mental illness? Have you lived with a partner experiencing mental ill health while parenting? Would you be willing to participate in an anonymous and confidential interview for the purposes of a research project?
Individuals will receive a £10 shopping voucher as a thank you for participating, if more than one member of a family participates (eg parent, child and partner) they will receive a £40 voucher as a thank you.

This project is part of a PhD and has been ethically approved by the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work in Queen’s University Belfast. This project is supervised by Dr Kathryn Higgins and Dr Gavin Davidson in the SSESW in Queen’s who can be contacted at 028 9097 5117.
About the researcher
I am currently a PhD Candidate in Queen's University Belfast working on a project regarding families experiences of living with parental mental illness and accessing support services. Previously I worked as a counsellor with parents for a leading parent support charity in Northern Ireland.
